A new super fab called the Terra Fab is being constructed in the Austin, TX area. This *might* bring memory prices down. New economies of scale will need to be accomplished somewhere for computing to continue to grow. I a skeptical and expect a plateau in computing capacity, storage, and memory. I would love to be proven wrong. My suggestions for careerism are still Cobol, Java, C#, and a dash of new greenfield technologies.
